We came to the Llyn Peninsula in June 2021 and opened Bryn Aber Bach for holiday lets in December of that year. Running a holiday let cottage is a wonderful job, and one of the perks is that it does afford us some free time to get involved in other activities. So since we opened for business we have found a few very special places that we now volunteer with. We would be thrilled if you chose to spend a little time during you stay visiting these locations. And if we are volunteering there when you do visit, we promise you a very warm welcome.

Glaslyn Osprey Project
A pair of ospreys has been breeding in the Glaslyn Valley since 2004, the first for over four hundred years.

Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife (BGGW) was set up as a community interest company to continue the work of protecting ospreys in the valley and highlight the wealth of other wildlife in the area.
The Glaslyn Ospreys are migratory birds wintering in sub Saharan Africa. But between mid March and early September they return to the valley to raise their young. During this period the Osprey Centre is open to the public. You can enjoy the stunning scenery and watch Ospreys either through the provided telescopes or via the high definition video feeds streamed to both the Visitor Center and the large Bird Hide.
